Wizzard's [SS] Dogfight Server Reviewed!

Many of you have probably been to Wizzard's rather popular Scattered Space dogfight server. The layout consits of two teams, red and blue, per usual. Unlike most other dogfights, however, Wizzard came up with a somewhat novel idea of putting the dogfight over water. When you spawn, you do so in one of two very well built aircraft carriers. After selecting your weapons loadout, you can proceed to the boat pen in the rear of the ship, or up to the flight deck to take a plane and vanquish your enemies. There are also non-designated buildings on the map, including a hangar. These are frequent points of conflict, with one team trying gain control of the hangar from the other. More recently, an ocean platform was added to the center of the map, with sniper towers and resources such as pills and extra grenades. the platform serves as a great rally point for teams, because the surface of it is roomy enough to land planes on, and it also has a dock where said teams can spawn boats. There is the occasional noob and/or moron who thinks that they're the best thing since sliced bread or that destroys his own team's planes when his or her team is trying to use them, but those kinds of people are usually fairly easy to tolerate and avoid due to the plentiful amounts of plane spawns available.

  • Creativity: 10/10 - The water element added a good deal more fun and challenge, plus the objectives gave me something to contest the other team for.
  • Build: 10/10 - Everything is amazingly well built with detail, but at the same time simple enough not to cause lag.
  • Fun: 10/10 - It's enormous fun to dogfight with planes over the water and capture objectives from your enemies, what can I say?
  • Admin: 7/10 - There often isn't an admin present to take care of idiots, but when they're there, I have no problems with them.
  • Overall: 9/10 - I have got to say, this dogfight is extremely well done, and I am certainly a regular on the server.
