#00013 - Daily Server Review: Coburn's Deathrun

Coburn's Deathrun is the best Deathrun I've seen. Sure, there may be lots of deathruns out there, but Coburn's traps are unique. One of his traps is a road, and when it gets activated, a couple cars drive across it. At the end of the run, the first person to get across it gets to choose from a large selection of a final challenges. It is an exciting server, but things are a little bit slow paced. It's hard to escape most of the traps -- I think it would be nice to have some traps that skilled people can beat without dying.

Creativity: 7/10 - Deathruns are common, but the traps in Coburn's are very creative.

Build: 10/10 - The build is great, not just some simple traps on a line of cubes.

Fun: 9/10 - It's a fun deathrun, what else is there to say.

Admin: 10/10 - No problems with the admins.

Overall: 9/10 - Coburn's deathrun is done very well, and is lots of fun. It is a server you should visit, especially if you like deathruns.

#00012 - Bell opening delayed, and sneak preview of hb's new camera!

When I finally got to talk to Mack last night, he told me he was still working on the topic graphics. He sent them over to Straton to, "sex it up". But after that, he asked me to beta test the HB Photosmart Camera. It can take pictures and DOF screenshots, and it also has a photoviewer! Sadly, I am a screenshot whore and have 50+ pictures, so it laged and crashed my BL. It is still beta, but it has some potential.

#00011 - "Blockland: Let's Play" Brings Blockland Players Together Outside of Blockland

Blockland: Let's Play is a new steam group created to help organize gaming events outside of Blockland. They have already hosted two Team Fortress 2 events, and plan on playing a large collection of steam games. I was on one of the groups Team Fortress 2 servers earlier today, and it was a lot of fun. You can join as long as you have a steam account, and you do not need to own any certain games. Be sure to check out the Blockland Forums Post and the Steam Group.

#00008 - Pew446's Medieval RPG: Server Review

To start off, Pew446's Medieval RPG is just IBan's cityRPG script with a medieval themed build. Well, it was supposed to be medieval, but in some ways it seemed more like a modern city that was pretending to be medieval. The police were dressed in modern day police uniforms, and some other small details were overlooked when it came to making the cityRP seem medieval. Flaws aside, the city buildings looked nice, and did a good job of making me feel like I was in the middle ages, even though a couple of them (the bank and the real estate office) where a little brick spammy.

This server is fun if you are the type of person that likes cityRPs. I personally don't like them a whole lot, so the server wasn't fun for me, but it did look like other people on the server where having a good time.

The admin, Pew was AFK for most of the time when I was playing on the server, so I couldn't really judge how good of an admin he was. It look like the server did have some rules in place, but pew was AFK when I broke one of the rules, so I can't say if he enforces the rules or not.

• Creativity: 5/10 - It's just another cityRPG, but I do give Pew446 credit for making more unique with a medieval theme.
• Build: 9/10 - Pew did a really good job with the build, but the bank and real estate office was a little spammy.
• Fun: 7/10 - It's only really fun if you like cityRP gameplay.
• Admin Abuse: N/A - The admin was AFK most of the time.
• Overall: 7/10 - Pew446 did a good job making his cityRP medieval theme to make it different then other cityRPs, but it's still not really wroth playing there unless you like cityRPs.

#00007 - TomTheGeek hacking and Bell opening.

Well by now everybody know I was hacked by Poiuyt on Sunday, and I will say that will be the darkest day I will ever remember on the internet. I lost my email, BL Forums account, Facebook, and my old BL key (Soon to be deactivated.). He took over the iEvent topic and made 1 spam post. So now I have a new BL key, thanks to Xecres, and an alt, thanks to MackTheHunter. Now off to the clan news...

Bell will be iEvent's replacement. It was in the works before the hacking occurred. But when it took place, it turned into a total replacement. Bell will be opened at 8:00 PM EST today, and that will be fun.

Well, I have more news to share in the future, but I cannot cram this into 1 post. Stay tuned for Niven's party on Sunday!

#00005 - Custard's City RP Review by Freeze

We all love a good City RP but the hard bit is finding which to pick. What makes a good City RP? A good admin, good build to build and RP in, good and in-forced rules and no idiots.

Well today I was looking around the server list and I saw "Custard's City RP". I joined. Instantly I was greeted by a very good host "Custard". I hadn't even said more than "hi" and he was very welcoming. After going around the town a bit not telling him that I was going to review this server, I found that he was a very good admin. No idiots spamming at all, it was a very happy server. I also must say that the build was very, very good.

After a small amount of time I told him I was going to review this server he instantly gave me the grand tour and told me the details. Straight off the bat he said it was still a W.I.P which I wouldn't of minded as I was perfectly happy with it like that but when I found out that there was going to be more I was very happy. He said that there would probably be one or two more whole islands and lot's more buildings. Then he proceeded to show me around. There was one place for all the things like withdrawing and depositing money, bounties and criminals (though there was another special place for that as well and) and everything else like that. Opposite that there was a hot dog stand which I enjoyed buying some hot dogs at. He then told me that mountain climbing was a very fun sport for this town, I immediately went to the mountain and it was fun climbing it but really it was only a one time thing. That lower the fun a bit. But I suppose you could have races on it.

There was also no lag at all may I point out.

Suddenly I realized something, where were the jails? I didn't ask wondering if it would be on the tour. Custard told me they were in the mountain. I asked to be put inside one, it was torture. It was a small cramped room with nothing inside it. I couldn't last a few seconds in there let alone three ticks.

I then proceeded to ask a few questions...

Me: So did you build everything here?

Custard: Yes I did other than they grey building and the tan one. I also plan to build more as in one or two new islands, more buildings and new trees.

Me: Trees?

Custard: Yes. I plan on making smaller and bigger ones and different types of leaves.

Me: All of it is cool.

Some random dude on joining: Which mod do you use?

Custard: Ibans.

Ratings...

Build: 9/10

Fun: 7/10

Admin: 10/10

Overall: 8/10

If you like RP's I would suggest you go to this server right now. With a great admin, a great build and lots of fun this server is overall great.

Okay, so this review should be nice, short and crispy with hate. You'd likely agree that it would be too easy of a job to review a dumbass, this would probably be like a mini-drama section slapped into an innocent blog. If the same was done with Off-topic, you'd get a blog about oil, dicks and word-changing games. Here's something you should know; this review is just a quality amount of stupid jokes and insults glued together, and that's all I really need to say. This guy likes combining "gay" and "ass" together in one sentence, and he seems to have a delusion that he's getting positive replies. In his mentally incorrect view of the world, it's possible to become a super-game-artist by drawing crude smiley faces for a character texture. This guy also wants to buttfuck you with a 24 inch spear, and it seems that everyone else that didn't threaten to buttfuck someone with a 24 inch spear were apparently gay peop- oh, what's this:

This guy has other interests other than buttfucking you with his 24 inch spear, interests such as buttfucking people who disses the child-friendly vidya with his 24 inch spear. The vidya is an eternal paradise for serial rapists with 24 inch spears that is comprised of orange transparent chainsaws, purple dragons that shoot darkness, and Lego pirate sex. You can also obtain the bricks from a purple dragon and a sand monster to create a 24 inch spear which you can fly over the vidya around all the 5-year old children.


In all seriousness, he would like to buttfuck you with his 25 inch spear instead... and he would find it very pleasurable

#00002 - keesfani's Jail RP: Server Review

[Just a note, the lower the admin abuse rating is, the better.]

I'm a good fan of jail rps. I find them enjoyable when everyone's yelling "OMG HES ESCAPING, GET HIM.",
Anyways, keesfani's Jail RP is a pretty good example of a well run jail rp. Freekillers were automatically kicked, and I saw no arguing the whole time I was there. There were very few team switching, which is usually a good sign both sides of the game are quite fun. They were quite fun.

The build however, isn't the best, but it's ok. There was good detail on the outside, but the interior was pretty much open space. I find the layout a little... awkward. The jail cells are in the middle, and everything else is surrounding it, like a hallway, or a square, within a square. There were good secret spaces throughout the map, especially in the box room. There was usually a guard in there at all times.

What caught my eye, was an item that allowed you to change into a prisoner if you were a guard. I find this creative, since only one person had it. Sadly, I wasn't able to try it out for myself, because I figured if only one person had it the whole time I was there, what was the point of trying it out.

• Creativity: 7/10 - It's a Jail RP, there are many across Blockland.
• Detail: 7/10 - The interior wasn't quite detailed.
• Fun: 9/10 - It was fun and enjoyable on both sides.
• Admin Abuse: 0/10 - I didn't see any.
• Overall: 7.6/10 - This server is ok.

Would I go back there another day? Most certainly. I'd recommend you go and try it out for a few minutes, if you're ok with not seeing very much detail on the inside.
